Monteiro’s Baby Shower Packs Out Blackstone Valley

On Saturday, January 18, many family members and friends headed out to the Blackstone Valley Historical Society building to give gifts, eat food, play games and look forward to baby Monteiro, scheduled to arrive in March.

Admir and Carine had friends from all stages of Admir’s life – the URI days, Pawtucket friends and fellow church members.  Carine had a similar shower in Connecticut earlier.

Organized and emceed by Jiayin Saarinen and Asia Stevens, games included a baby food taste test, “Name That Tune” songs with “Baby or Child” in the title and shower gift Bingo.

The food was tasty.  The smiles and laughter were flowing.  The fellowship was deep. Let’s all keep praying for this special baby set to arrive soon.  And then, let’s be the village that raises a child for the glory of God.
