Once a month, the pre-teens of the Ocean State church get together for a devotional, a fun event or just a hang out. Doug and Shayne Purdue oversee the planning of these events, and we are very grateful.

This month – on Saturday, March 19 – Leo and Ivey Mella hosted “Bake Me To The Movies” at their Providence home. The Mella’s are known for hospitality and, on this evening, they did not disappoint. The pre-teens put together their own, six-layer cake. They watched a movie, laughed, ate and deepened their friendships with each other.

It is a joy to have children. Beyond that, it is fantastic to watch them learn about God, bond with other kids and enjoy clean, wholesome fun.
