Over the summer, Amelia attended church services and began to study the Bible. Something began to move in her heart. Thankfully, many of our church’s disciples also speak Spanish. Roxana, Sonia Matias, Amy Richardson, Anita Allen and others became great friends and study partners.
Amelia’s big heart and warm smile has won over our entire congregation. Her hugs and kisses showed an amazing kind of love.
On Friday night, June 28, Amelia decided to be baptized. At a beautiful setting, Falls Lake in North Attleboro, Amelia was immersed. Prior to her baptism, heartfelt sharing took place – with smiles and tears.
Following the baptism, Franklin Silveira led us in “I’ve Been Redeemed.” One line in that song says, “I’ve been to the river and I’ve been baptized.” Amelia really had been!
Please be praying for your new sister. Soon she will be returning to her home in La Plata, Argentina. She has communicated with our sister church in Buenos Aires about connecting. She wants to share what she has learned with family and friends.
Amelia will always have a place in our hearts and in the heart of God.
