Campus Swap 2019

Our church here in Providence has been privileged to host New England campus swaps a few times.  Each time has been amazing as college students from around our area have sacrificed their spring break week to come to our city and be givers.

The 2019 event took place from March 10-15.  The students came from western Massachusetts, Boston, and Connecticut.  Their week consisted in sharing their faith, serving the needy, encouraging the disciples and bonding with each other.

One of the highlights was serving at the Rhode Island Food Bank – putting together over 500 food packages to be shipped all around the state to help the hungry.  The crew also shared for two days prior to a Bible Talk at Johnson and Wales University.  Fourteen guests came out and were touched by the power of the Bible and other campus students with zeal for God’s cause.  The group closed out our week by preaching at our Friday all church devotional.  Each swapper shared their “one word” for the week and explained why.

Some of our disciples like Hakeen Jacobs and Myles Bryan have been initially met through campus swap.  Let’s be inspired by the sacrifice of these students and pray for high impact moving forward, as we follow up with their labor for the Lord.
