On Friday, December 7, the campus had a first-ever “Cooking with Myles” evening. Remember this phrase, you may hear it on television in the future. Myles is one, from a number of our crew, who is studying the culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University. He took the point, with several great assistants (and a few of us who were only good at eating), to make a fantastic meal of French toast, potatoes with chicken, and some crazy spreads including bananas, strawberries, raspberries, and more. To drink, we enjoyed hot chocolate.
Most of our Friday events include 15-17 campus students from JWU, RIC, Bryant and Brown. This activity fed over 30, as many visitors from these campuses and more came out (including some hungry singles in our church who just showed up).
May we all use our gifts to glorify God and draw others to him. Thanks to the Martins for hosting us all and to the talented, campus chefs who gave us all a memorable evening of food, fellowship and fun.
