Recently our growing campus ministry took it upon themselves to help out the teen and pre-teen ministries in our church. In the past several months, three teenagers have been baptized. Others are studying the Bible.

A committee of campus students met with Paulo and Jody Martins within the past month to discuss plans for encouraging the younger crowd in our church. Since that time, the college students have been leading two Bible Talks with this group a month on topics the teens and pre-teens selected. Some of the topics so far have been academics, insecurity, and mental health. For April, the discussion groups will focus on Male-Female Relationships and Parent- Child Relationships.

In addition to Bible discussion groups, several fun events have been put on the calendar. About two weeks ago, Jenny Contreras hosted a game night at her home. This past Sunday, April 2, Bill and Linda Brown hosted a movie night. Hakeen Jacobs worked with them to plan refreshments, a good movie and an encouraging time.

God is moving in the hearts of our young crew, as many are coming to these events and falling more and more in love with Jesus. Through fun, mentoring and discussions the campus, young singles, teens and pre-teens are all drawing closer to God.
