It has only been about one year that our congregation has been in existence. However, we have already made memories in a lot of places and in a lot of ways. Some of the places we have had services in year one have been the Portuguese Social Club, the Marriott Hotel, the Martins’ home, Colt State Park, and the French American School of Rhode Island.
All of them have had their strengths and weaknesses (like us) and served their purpose. For now, God has moved us down the road to the campus of Rhode Island College, 600 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, The Forman Center, East Campus, Providence, RI.
In the first three Sundays there – we have seen beautiful fall days, baptisms and a bunch of bees. Some of these are better memories than others, but the Spirit is causing us to grow, laugh and learn through it all.
In the Old Testament, God’s people were constantly on the move and worshipping Him in the tabernacle. In the first century, due to persecution – the disciples praised Christ’s name in the catacombs. We are fortunate to share their heritage. Wherever our Father places us, let’s worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). And let’s all look for people in the area to invite to come join us!
