On Saturday, August 13, Jessica Boerma planned a surprise party for her husband, David. With the able assistance of Asia Stevens planning the food and David Sam hosting the event, a group of about 20 gathered to decorate and then surprise the unsuspecting disciple on his amazing accomplishment. David passed his PhD qualifying exam to earn his Masters in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

The evening consisted of fellowship, food, a cool video and much sharing from those who attended. Even recent fellow masters’ recipient Nick Connor came down from Portland, Maine, for the grand occasion. Check out the pictures and join us in giving honor to whom honor is due (Romans 13:7). Congratulations, Master Boerma! The next goal is a doctorate degree in approximately three years. David serves on our worship team and just recently became the point person for our outreach to the poor and needy.
